The play area is absolutely amazing—thoughtfully designed with different stations and themes that spark creativity and keep little ones engaged for hours. Whether your child loves imaginative play, climbing, or exploring new activities, there’s something for every interest. It’s a safe, clean, and fun environment that makes this café a go-to spot for parents looking to unwind while their kids have a blast. Beyond the play area, the menu selection is fantastic! I love that they focus on healthy, nutritious options without sacrificing flavor. It’s refreshing to find a place where both kids and adults can enjoy wholesome, delicious food that doesn’t feel like typical “kid-friendly” fare. If I could change one thing, I really wish they offered public hours on Sundays instead of being closed for private parties. It would be the perfect post-church destination—a great spot to grab a meal, let the kids burn off some energy, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon as a family. Overall, Playhouse Café is an absolute must-visit for families in Madison. We love everything about it and will definitely be back again and again!

My family loves the Playhouse Cafe! Our 7 year old autistic son loves playing pretend, and this place is one of his favorite places to play. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and we always have an enjoyable time. They offer different activities as well, such as storytime and crafts as well as yoga. We'll keep coming back!

Lots of fun and exciting things for the little ones to play with from cooking in the kitchen to fireman, police, Dr etc. The area for babies was perfect for our 6month old and the slides into the ball pit for the 3yr old twins and up was so much fun for them. Also the air hockey table up front with the couches and chairs was great. The food and drinks offered are delicious. Highly recommend!
